On Tuesday, 14th July 2026, Peak Crossing State School proudly celebrated NAIDOC Week with a special incursion that immersed students in the rich culture and traditions of Australia’s First Nations peoples.
We were honoured to welcome Aunty Sharron and the Daughts, who shared their knowledge and stories through captivating performances.
The day was filled with vibrant singing and traditional dancing, as students and staff joined in to celebrate the theme of this year’s NAIDOC Week, "For Our Elders".
Aunty Sharron’s storytelling and the Daughts’ energetic performances created a meaningful and engaging experience, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.
It was a truly memorable day for our school community, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to Aunty Sharron and the Daughts for sharing their time and wisdom with us.
