Established on September 4, 1871, Peak Crossing State School has been a cornerstone of education in the Scenic Rim region for over 150 years. Initially known as Purga Creek School, it was renamed Peak Mountain State School in 1879 and later became Peak Crossing State School in 1929. The school commemorated its 125th anniversary in 1996 with the unveiling of a commemorative arch and gates . The school commemorated its 150th anniversary in 2021.
Today, it continues to serve the community, fostering a vibrant learning environment where every student is encouraged to strive for excellence.
